Mastering Monday
Mastering Monday!
Oh the memories coming to the forefront when considering each of these post.
On the 9-1-1 side of the Public Safety Industry June is our month to gather, learn, sell, network and show appreciation for our various clients. For many years the client appreciation events were held as private parties with the company employees and their distinguished guests dressing up according to the theme.
Today’s walk down memory lane takes us back to one of those events, held June 2006 in Pittsburgh, PA.
The stars of the show: KISS. Our event manager and these gentlemen went all out in terms of costume and makeup. They would have given the real KISS a run for the money. However I think what was most impactful to their experience was learning the value of safety in numbers when using the restroom.
To this day I laugh just thinking about that particular conference.
So many nuances: NFL football player wrecks his bike, MLB team helped me understand the definition of a bar bunny and the CSI episode on Furries was not entirely make believe. Most importantly, my future husband and I were in the same room. We would not meet each other for another six years. Who knew?
Find your people, cherish your people and love your people!
PS: Many of these same gentlemen made a pretty spectacular Village People rendition a few years later.
