Iowa Legislators Deserve a Woot Woot!

Today, Iowa’s Governor Kim Reynolds signed House File 855 which provides adoptees the opportunity to request their original birth certificate.

I can not tell everyone how excited I am about this milestone event.

Now I know I will have to exercise patience, NOT my strongest life skill, as it will be several months before a request can be submitted for my original birth certificate.

However, when the day comes I will be breaking the internet to get it done.

Just thinking on how precious it will be to hold the document in my hand with J’s name, noted as birth mother, gives me shivers.
