Grandmas are the Best
Monday Monday Monday
The snow has almost all melted and soon our yard will be nothing more than a swampy mess. While it will annoy me now, I will later appreciate the amount of moisture in the soil when it is time to garden.
Gardening is really not my thing. Fact is I am terrible at it no matter how great the teacher. And the funny thing is I was blessed with one of the greatest teachers ever, my grandma.
We spent the majority of the summer with her and our grandpa as kids roaming around the farm and going up and down the aisles of her massive garden. Corn, onions, potatoes, carrots, green beans, peas and strawberries.
Those strawberries were always so good and a ton of fun to pick. The ice cream pail, the kids and our grandma. We surely ate more than we picked and she just didn’t care. She talked, taught and loved unconditionally.
She was 99 when she left her earthly body, just thinking about her on this day brings a smile to my face.
